Remember Schlitz? It had enjoyed being the #1 brand of beer in America before changing its formula to cut costs, thus hastening a steady decline to the brink of extinction. Pabst acquired the brand and re-instated the original formula. PARAGRAPH positioned Schlitz as "The Official Beer of Leisure" and directed the clients how to launch the newly refreshed beer into new markets. Cheers!

Starbucks was looking for a way to introduce their corporate philanthropy initiatives to the public. PARAGRAPH fielded a national study on the state of charitable giving as well as explored relevant emerging themes and trends. Through this investigation, PARAGRAPH was able to provide a recommendation to Starbucks on how to communicate their efforts in an authentic and differentiated way.

Clarion Industries, is the leading manufacturer of private label laminate flooring for Lowe’s Home Improvement, Home Depot and Lumber Liquidators. The products Clarion was making for Lowe’s were not performing as well as those they made for Home Depot. Clarion asked us to help them figure out why. We uncovered six themes affecting the shopper experience in the flooring aisle. Using these themes we built a presentation to inspire the Lowe’s merchant team to make changes to the aisle and product set that would improve the experience and increase sales.

KINGSDOWN

Kingsdown, the nation’s fifth largest mattress manufacturer, was seeking a better co-op ad. The mattress industry is dominated by Sealy, Simmons and Serta (and their enormous advertising budgets), so a co-op ad alone would not move the needle. PARAGRAPH uncovered the fact most Americans fail to attribute their mattress to not sleeping well. Poor sleep is a combination of mental, physical and environmental factors. Upon our recommendation, Kingsdown created the world’s first sleep store. Sleep to Live stores are part sleep clinic, part retailer.
